Imagine driving through your city at night and looking at all the houses as you go by. What do you see? You see lights on in the houses and wonder who lives inside. Have you ever thought that those houses and lights represent people?
Have you ever wondered how they are? Do they have what they need? Do they know Jesus or have they never heard of Him? SHINE YOUR LIGHT is an event to help kids know what it means to shine the light of Jesus to those they come in contact with every day. Friends. Neighbors. The waitress at their favorite restaurant. The cashier at the grocery store.
Jesus said, “You are the light of the world.” Matthew 5:14a
Let’s help kids discover what it means to shine their light at their schools, in their neighborhoods, and wherever they go!
This event can be used as a: Family Event, a Kids-only Event, or a District Kids Event. It is designed for kids in K- 5th grade and can be adapted to include three and four-year-olds. The event is comprised of four segments: Large Group, Stations, Glow Worship, and Shine Challenge.
