This Affirmation of Baptism Ritual was created for the believer who has already been baptized at some point in their life. For some, it was baptism as an infant or child. For others, they may have been baptized as a young adult, wandered from the Lord, but returned and wanted that moment of recommitment.
This is something that the Church could provide a believer, not a second baptism, but a ritual that provides the believer a way to look back to that day that they were baptized and reclaim that moment for today.
Feel free to use or adapt this ritual for your church. It can be meaningful to your people and a blessing to those who sincerely desire to commit themselves to the Lord!
